LEGO Star Wars: Microfighters is a shooter that puts you in command of six ships from the Star Wars saga made entirely out of LEGO bricks.

This new game combines the worlds of LEGO and Star Wars with vertical scrolling. You can choose to join the Rebel Alliance or the Imperial Empire. The action takes place on four planets (Endor, Yavin, Hoth, and Geonosis) and allows you to control six ships from Star Wars: TIE Fighter, X-Wing, Star Destroyer, Droid ATT, Millennium Falcon, and Clone Wars Tank. Through 18 levels, your mission is to destroy 35 enemy types arriving in successive waves, along with the eight bosses in the game. 

Battles get more difficult over time

LEGO Star Wars: Microfighters's gameplay is simple. To control the ship, just drag your finger on the screen and use the action button for special attacks. Like any self-respecting shooter, the difficulty of LEGO Star Wars: Microfighters gradually increases.

As you pass through waves, the difficulty increases, along with the number of enemies. You should always harvest LEGO bricks that you find to unlock the equipment, weapons and improve your ship.

The graphics of LEGO Star Wars: Microfighters is good, and animations are generally well done. Modeling vessels with LEGO pieces is interesting, even though the game is in 2D.
